  11. Hi out there,

  13. a colleague of mine has a Problem with her 14.400 PCMCIA-Modem and
  14. her 486-66, 4MB RAM notebook.
  15. She does manage to connect to her Provider, out local
  16. university computer lab on a simple unix shell account an work there.
  17. But when she connects to the lab with Trumpet Winsock in oder to
  18. build a PPP oder SLIP connection, she gets in for a few seconds, maybe
  19. enough to load one WWW-Page or so. Then the connection stalls. The 
  20. line is still upheld, and Netscape does suggest some activity, but
  21. no more.
  22. The connection is working with other computers, even with another
  23. 486 with only 4 Meg, so its neither the computer lab nor the small
  24. RAM.

  26. Does anybody know that problem or even a solution to it?
